Home away from Home

I must say one advantage of the family not being here is that you get to spend a lot more time in the pub. They come in all shapes and sizes but all have their own unique character. Some are specially designed for me with 5 foot ceilings (bad luck Hux). I think I mentioned before I am starting to enjoy the 'bitter'. Most pubs their own local brew or one from with the local area. I hope you all have noticed the photo and the name of the pub on the bottom row?

Just wondering if these are pubs in Weymouth or in your hamlet?

Wish they were all local. Unfortunately because we live out in the rural area the closest pub is about 3km away. These are from around Dorset. Still trying to work out the best one close to us.

James, I know we rang at the time but now just picture this!
Saturday family farewell picnic at Clontarf for Kath and girls. Perfect day, blue sky, hot, swimming- THEN - K brings Adelaide screaming from water with cut foot, Grandma says it needs stitches, A yells more. All the others gather around to give comfort, the twins and Jaime and Jess start to cry in sympathy or is it the sight of all the blood? Bindi very concerned. Wait a minute, who is this peering inbetween all the legs and arms? A little girl from the next picnic group has come in for a closer look too. Ally gets firstaid kit, Vet Chris applies pad and pressure bangages foot and ankle, Tony and Grandpa ring doctor at Manly. Jye and Aiden help cart things to cars, finally a mass exodus back to Manly, unload twins, Grandpa goes with K and A to Doctor. Three stitches later and they are back again, this time A is smiling, K has a cup of tea, children drawing and colouring in, a slice of watermelon and drink, everyone happy. C.J. and J. leave, then later K and girls are on their way.
A.A.A. and J. stay on so we order Chinese takeaway, walk along the beach and back home to eat, warm lovely evening on the balcony. Jye goes to kitchen to open a large new bottle of lemonade (still warm)
It must have looked like one of those celebration bottles of Champagne going off at the Grand Prix presentation. Floor, cupboard, drawers, shirt now covered. No problem, dont worry Jye, notyour fault. Toss some beach towels over the floor, put some ice in the lemonade for the boys then back to enjoy yummy crispy salt and pepper squid, honey king prawns and special fried rice with sparkling Burgandy! And you think you are having a good time!!!
